Creamy Turkey Soup
This is one of my favorite creamy soups. I love making this after the holidays with all the left over turkey I have in the fridge. You can use store bought chicken broth or make your own with the turkey carcass, which is my preference.

Ingredients
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 cup chopped green onion (white and green parts seperated)
- 2 cups fresh sliced carrots
- 1/4 cups flour
- 5 cups chicken broth or homemade turkey broth
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp salt and more to taste
- 3 cups chopped cooked turkey
- 8 oune noodles or bunch of teared kale
- 1/4 cups butter
Instructions
- Saute garlic, carrots, and white part of onion in butter until soft
- Add flour and mix well
- Gradually add 2 cups broth and milk, stiring constantly
- Stir til thickens
- stir in remaining chicken of turkey broth
- Bring to a boil and simmer until noodles or kale is ready. See noodles package for estimated times for cooking time
- Add green onion, stir, and serve
